Now that my first piece of writing is out there, let’s talk about how I got here. I haven't always been a “writer”. I only started writing because I met my boyfriend who writes me the sweetest letters! And in my attempt to reciprocate, I started writing letters too. I quickly realized that I am able to articulate my feelings a lot better in words. I don't come from the greatest education background. I didn't have anyone in school correct my grammar, fix my pronunciation or my diction. So if I make errors here and there, bear with me. Going back to why I am writing a blog, my boyfriend believes I am a good writer. I dont think so but i have a lot of faith in him hence the blog. I am not sure how consistent I will be. Especially because now I am not just writing for myself. If at all this starts to feel like work, I am pretty sure I will stop doing it. However, I intend to do this just to give myself a chance. Maybe I will see myself in a different light? If not, at least I tried something new.
